Liberia–Australia Relationship Network (LARN)
Empowering Liberian Nationals Through Advocacy, Opportunity, and Consular Support
“Connecting People. Strengthening Communities. Building Futures.”
The Liberia–Australia Relationship Network (LARN) exists to serve as a trusted bridge between Liberian nationals living in Australia and the opportunities, support systems, and institutions that shape successful settlement, personal growth, and community advancement.
LARN believes that every Liberian living in Australia deserves access to informed guidance, practical support, and representation that promotes dignity, independence, and equal participation in society.
Our work is built on three pillars: Advocacy, Empowerment, and Bilateral Relationship Building.
Advocacy that Gives Every Liberian a Voice
Many people struggle not because they lack ability, but because they lack access to information, representation, and the confidence to navigate complex systems.
LARN advocates for Liberian nationals by:
-
Helping individuals communicate their circumstances effectively.
-
Supporting fair access to employment, services, and opportunities.
-
Providing guidance through administrative and community processes.
-
Standing alongside individuals during important discussions and engagements.
Our role is to ensure no Liberian feels unheard, unsupported, or isolated.
Supporting Success Through Professional Documentation
Opportunities are often won through preparation.
LARN provides practical assistance with:
-
Addressing selection criteria professionally and strategically.
-
Developing relevant and competitive resumes.
-
Writing effective cover letters.
-
Assisting with completing forms accurately.
-
Preparing statutory declarations.
-
Drafting character reference and support letters.
We understand that a well-prepared application can become the difference between rejection and opportunity.
Employment Engagement and Career Advancement
Employment is more than income—it creates identity, stability, and long-term success.
LARN supports Liberian nationals by:
-
Engaging employers where appropriate.
-
Assisting with employment-related concerns.
-
Supporting workplace communication.
-
Guiding individuals toward professional development pathways.
-
Connecting members to opportunities and service providers.
We aim to help Liberians become contributors, leaders, and professionals within Australian society.
Strengthening Families, Youth, and Community Relationships
Strong communities are built through strong relationships.
LARN works to:
-
Engage and mentor Liberian youth.
-
Support positive family and relationship outcomes.
-
Encourage cultural identity alongside social integration.
-
Promote leadership, accountability, and community participation.
Our vision is to raise a generation of Liberian-Australians who remain connected to their heritage while thriving in Australia.
Referral and Representation Services
Navigating systems alone can be overwhelming.
LARN assists by:
-
Referring individuals to relevant service providers.
-
Acting as a support person where appropriate.
-
Helping clients understand available options.
-
Facilitating access to community and professional resources.
Our network approach ensures individuals receive support beyond a single interaction.
